Weed invasion is an increasing problem in northern Australia. This first-round project looked at the management of one of tropical Australia's most serious weeds.
- Rubber vine is an exotic woody weed that poses a significant threat to northern Australian savanna landscapes. It has already invaded a large portion of northern and eastern Queensland and bio-climatic analysis suggests that it is capable of growing across northern sections of the Northern Territory and Western Australia. This project on Fire and Rubber vine examined the usefulness of using fire to control the weed.
