In an effort to combat the difficulties in accessing information
about native seed and to assist in native revegetation, the website
Florabank has been revamped and re-launched. Funded by the Natural
Heritage Trust and managed by Greening Australia, Ensis and Ag Tech
Pty Ltd.
The new website recognises and shares the best available
knowledge from research and practice in native species seed
management and supports a professional and informed seed sector,
encouraging quality and choice for buyers of native Australian
seed. Florabank hosts a model Code of Practice for seed collection,
guidelines, references and links to resources as well as a forum
for discussion. Training courses for professional seed collectors
will be run throughout Australia.

Your Building
A new national online resource – Your Building – is
an interactive internet portal that provides answers to
sustainability in the commercial building industry and how to
reduce the environmental impact of commercial buildings in
Australia. Your Building was created by the Australian Greenhouse
Office in partnership with the Cooperative Research Centre for
Construction Innovation and the Australian Sustainable Built
Environment Council.
