The McKell Medal is public recognition of outstanding
achievement by an individual or people in partnerships, in changing
community attitudes through promotion, education, research or
development activities in natural resource management. The medal is
sponsored by Australian, state and territory government agencies
engaged in agriculture and natural resource management through the
NRM Ministerial Council.

considerable fieldwork at Newcrests’ Cadia Valley Mine

- Biodiversity of soil biota in topsoil stockpiles
- Metal uptake by vegetation in mine rehabilitation area
