WA State of the Environment report released
The biggest environmental challenges for Western Australia are
preventing the loss of biodiversity, halting the degradation of
inland waters, and addressing global pressures such as climate
change and the growing consumption of natural resources, according
to the state's 2007 State of the Environment report.
The report, released by the Environmental Protection Agency,
identifies 34 environmental issues of importance to Western
Australia. These issues have been prioritised by the EPA ranging
from 'top priority' to 'low priority' issues.
