A fundraising auction for the Jill Landsberg Trust Fund is to be
held on Friday February 23, at 7pm, at the Redback Pub, 75
Flemington Road, North Melbourne.
Sponsored by the Victorian regional Ecological Society of
Australia, the event is being organised by Kirsti Abbott and Euan
Ritchie. All sorts of goods and services will be auctioned, and
contributions are welcomed. Items can take any form, for example,
artwork, statistical advice, cakes, lawn mowing …. and all
profits will be donated to the Jill Landsberg Fund.
Euan and Kirsti would like to have as many people at this event
and are also seeking volunteers to help with setting up and
running the event, and in particular, an auctioneer!

Light food will be available, starting at 7 pm, with the auction
to start at 8 pm. RSVP's would be appreciated so numbers can be
catered for.
Meals are available as well, so if you want dinner perhaps turn
up a little earlier before the festivities begin!
We expect this to be a very enjoyable evening and a great
opportunity to catch up with fellow ecologists and to contribute to
this fund, which honours the fantastic contribution made to the
society and ecology in Australia by Jill.

Each year the Jill Landsberg Fund awards $6,000 to support the field-based research of a Postgraduate Student working in applied ecology. The scope of research is open to terrestrial, marine and freshwater ecology. This website has details of how to apply for this grant.
